Automated Professional Trade Licensing
CHALLENGE
The City issues trade professional licenses, but much of the work is a manual process. They wanted to centralize their applications and allow professionals to submit the applications and payments online. The licensing office also works with other departments, like inspections, and they wanted to have a way to seamlessly integrate information from other departments into their process.
SOLUTION
Working at the City level, our team quickly configured a platform and delivered a system to expedite the Licensing process for trade professionals. The self-service licensing system automated the entire process with 24/7/365 web access. It managed new applications, renewals, license history, continuing education requirements, and work experience along with integrated payment processing for an optimal user experience.
RESULTS
We were able to deliver a system that was user friendly for the licensee, provided KPI’s to the agency and sent notifications to the stakeholders when actions were needed. The entire project was completed in less than 5 months.
