A legislature mandated one agency separate its Family and Children’s Services Division into a standalone agency. The new agency had to create its own Human Resource, Information Technology, and Administrative Divisions, provide facilities in every county, and hire many additional social workers. The work had to be completed in a tight timeframe to address court-ordered and legislative deadlines.

Assisted both agencies program manage all the separation activities. Worked with the leaders across both agencies to inventory and prioritize work, manage inter-dependencies, and implement best practice for procurement, contracting, vendor management, human resource management, and information technology.

The agency separation was completed four months ahead of schedule and under budget. ProCom provided problem solving support as issues arose during the separation and best practice advice on each aspect of the separation.
